A Different World, A Different View

I treat TV like I treat my food. There is nothing like a delicious meal from a beautiful restaurant with food that makes you dance inside that gives an amazing view paired with good drinks. A good time is had. Every now and again a girl like me loves a good bowl of ramen noodles minus the packet of seasonings it comes with, (that packet has way too much sodium for me) I will enjoy that bowl of ramen with a ice cold glass of water and be just as happy. I learned early on that code switching was going to be the path of success for me. My sophomore year in high school days was the start of my code switching. Often, I was the only black girl in classes, track meets, hanging out with white friends, my family was the only black family on our block up until about a few months ago. During those days there was no diversity and inclusion classes, there were no guided conversation around my white classmates being allies.
